2018-19 Football Coaching Staff
Coach Tyler Peterson is now entering his fourth season as head coach of the Bulldogs after posting 11-3 and 10-4 seasons in his first two. Prior to Brandon, Peterson has had coaching stints at Northwest Rankin, Kosciusko, and Noxapater, winning the 1A State Championship in his last season there.
Coach Peterson was an assistant coach at Louisville High School when they won back-to-back 3A State Championships in the 2007-08 seasons. He spent several years prior to that at the small college level, with stops at The University of Arkansas-Monticello, The University of North Alabama, and The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Coach Peterson is married to the former Erica Tullos, a Philadelphia native. They have two sons, Camden (7) and Case (6), and one daughter, Evie Joy (4).
Wyatt Rogers is entering his 9th season at Brandon as an Offensive Coordinator. He holds degrees from the University of Mississippi and Delta State University. Coach Rogers is a former Head Coach at Winston Academy with a 40-12 record and two state championships within 4 seasons. He is also a former assistant head coach and offensive coordinator at Meridian High School and a college level coach at the University of Tennessee-Martin and Delta State University.
Greg Robinson begins his 9th season at Brandon as a Defensive Coordinator. He is a former Head Coach at Cleveland High School where he achieved four division play-off games and two district championships. Coach Robinson was awarded Bolivar County Coach of the year in 2008. Coach Robinson was an Assistant Coach at Cleveland High School where he served as Offensive Coordinator when they played for the State Championship in 2003. He holds degreesfrom Delta State University. Coach Robinson is married to the former Ginger Sandifer. They have three daughters, Kalyn (20), Jordan (13), and Hartley (5).
Nathan McLaurin begins his 12th season at Brandon. He is currently a BHS Running Backs Coach and the Head Track Coach for BHS. Coach McLaurin holds degrees from Jackson State University and Belhaven University. As a former BHS running back, he gained over 3,000 rushing yards.
Tyler begins his first season at Brandon as the linebackers coach.
Clark Pullen is entering his fourth season at Brandon High School. He is an Asst. Football Linebackers Coach and Asst Baseball Coach for Brandon Middle School. Clark is a native of Kosciusko, MS and a 2012 Mississippi State graduate.
Randy West begins his 21st season at Brandon. West has 34 years experience in teaching and coaching. Randy serves as the Assistant AD, Boys Soccer Head Coach and Football Assistant Coach. Coach West received his BS Ed from Millsaps College and his MS Ed Leadership from Mississippi College. Under his direction as boys’ soccer coach at Brandon, he has a record of 298-81-31 with an overall career record of 584-249-49. As a coach at Brandon, West has had the privilege of being a part of the 2002 State Championship, South/North State Championships 2002, 2006, 2007, 2014. The Semi Finals: 2000, 2001, 2003, 2005, and 2010 with Division Championships of 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 (Co-Championships) and 2015 (Co-Championships). Coach West has been married for 32 years to Carolyn Moore West and has three children.
Skyler Parker returns to his alma mater for his 7th season. Currently he is coaching football and soccer. Coach Parker is a 2007 graduate of BHS. While at Brandon, he was a standout varsity football, soccer and baseball player. Coach Parker joined the football team at Delta State University becoming the National Championship Runner-Up. He holds a teaching degree from Delta State University and is proud to return to his hometown and evolve from player to coach. Coach Parker is married to Dr. Jill Parker who is a counselor for Brandon Middle School. They are the proud parents of three children- Brody Jett, Bowen James, and Brynnlee Joy.
Marc Herrington is entering his fourth season as Asst. Football Coach and Powerlifting Coach. He comes to us with 21 years experience in coaching. He has been Head Football Coach for Woodland Hills Baptist Academy, Pisgah High School where under his leadership Pisgah had the best season in school history with a 10-2 record, McLaurin High School with 10-3 record. He was voted Coaches Staff of the Region at Pisgah in 2004 and at McLaurin in 2012. In 2010, Coach Herrington coached in the Bernard Blackwell All Star game. He has been married to his wife Kelly for 24 years. Together they have 2 children, Cooper (15) and Cambell (11).
David Mahaffey is entering his first season at Brandon High School and his second year as a coach. Last year, David coached at Elm Grove Middle School in Bossier City, Louisiana. After graduating from Brandon High School in 2013, he went on to play one season at East Mississippi Community College followed by three seasons at Louisiana Tech University from 2014-2016. Coach Mahaffey met his wife Brittany at LA Tech and got married in June of 2017. They are excited to be back in Brandon.
Philip O’Brien is entering his 33rd year at Brandon. As an Asst. Football Coach, he is long regarded as the best video/filming and scouting coordinator in the state. He is chief videographer and press box manager for all Brandon football teams. Coach “O” is also an Asst. Baseball Coach in charge of statistics, transportation, and various field duties. He holds degrees from the University of Mississippi and Mississippi College.
Coach Moore is entering his 2nd season at Brandon. He will begin his 25th year in the coaching profession this upcoming season. Previously, Coach Moore served as the defensive coordinator at Puckett High as well as the Strength/Powerlifting coach. Coach Moore was a member of the 2006 & 2008 Coaching Staff of the Year while working at Puckett as they won the 1A state championship in football. Coach Moore had previous stops at Ridgeland High coaching DBs, Florence High coaching D-Line, and Pelahatchie coaching DBs. Coach Moore attended Jones Junior College, the University of Alabama, and the University of Southern Mississippi. Coach Moore and his family are active members of Crossgates Baptist Church. Coach Moore is married to Kimberly Grissom Moore and has 5 children - Emma 22, Shelbi Claire 16, Abby 14, Garrett 13, and Jett 7.
Bryce Middleton is a 2012 graduate of Brandon High School. This is his 4th year assisting with Varsity and 9th Grade Football. Currently, he is a student at Mississippi State University working on a Master’s Degree in Administration. His brother, Trent Middleton, is a member of the Varsity Football Team.
