Jennifer O’Neal

HEAD coach

Jennifer O’Neal is entering her 12th year as a Career and Technical teacher at Brandon High School where she teaches Contemporary Health and Nutrition and Wellness. Jennifer is a native of Morton, MS, and graduate of Morton High School. She is an alumnus of The University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Jennifer has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Apparel Design and Merchandising with an emphasis in Marketing.

The title of Coach is not new territory for Jennifer as she gave 10 years to helping build the Brandon High School Dance Team. In Ms. O’Neal’s tenure, she helped lead the BHS Dance Team to 5 MHSAA State Championships. She is excited to begin her journey into the cheer world and return to Friday Night Lights at Brandon High School.

Cassie Cothran

ASSISTANT coach

Cassie Cothran is a native of Lexington, Mississippi. She graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Math Education. Before coming to Brandon High School, Cassie was a teacher at Terry. She was Assistant Track Coach for two years, Head Girls Track Coach for four years, and Head Cheer Coach for two years. This year will be Cassie’s second year at Brandon High School. She will be teaching Essentials for College Math and Algebra II. This will also be her first year as Assistant Cheer Coach.
