In 2024 Brandon High School welcomed Brandon native, Holly Moncrief, as the new Head Girls’ Basketball Coach. Coach Moncrief is a 2005 graduate of Brandon High School. She furthered her academic and athletic career at Meridian Community College where she was a member of the Lady Eagle Basketball team. She continued her academic and athletic career at Belhaven University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education and was a member of the Lady Blazer Basketball team.  She is married to Joe Moncrief. Coach Moncrief began her coaching career at BHS as an assistant from 2010-2012. In 2012, she was named the head coach at Puckett High School. While at Puckett, Coach Moncrief lead the Lady Wolves to four state tournament appearances with a record of 230-71.  This past year, Coach Moncrief was named the Lake High School Girls’ Basketball coach where she led the Lady Hornets to win the 2A State Championship. Coach Holly Moncrief is thrilled about coming home. Brandon is a special place to her, and she can’t wait to get started with the Lady Bulldogs!
