Laine Marler

Laine Marler is entering her 3rd season as the Assistant Coach for the  BHS Varsity team and the BHS JV Volleyball team Head Coach.   Coach Marler received her bachelor’s degree from The University of Mississippi in May 2022. She received her master’s degree from Mississippi state in 2024 and is currently working on her specialist’s degree. She was a member of the first Brandon Middle School Volleyball team, a member of the  Brandon High School Volleyball Team all 4 years of high school, and member of the Brandon High School Varsity tennis team for six years.  She was chosen as the very first Mississippi Volleyball All-Star player from Brandon High School along with being chosen as a Tennis All-Star. Coach Marler was also a part of the first Class 6A Region 6 State Championship team at BHS where she was the starting Libero. Coach Marler won 5 region championships along with one South State Championship while playing. She was chosen as an all Region player all four years of high school and was selected as the Clarion Ledger Player of the Week twice.  In her first three years coaching, Coach Marler won her 2nd 6A State Championship, 8th region championship and 4th South State Championship. Coach Marler was also selected as Brandon High School New Teacher of the Year for the 2022-2023 School Year. Coach Marler was recently chosen as a Rankin County Young Professional of the Year for 2023-2024.
