Kelsa Walker

Kelsa Walker is entering her 11th season as Head Coach for the BHS Volleyball Team.  Coach Walker received her Bachelor’s Degree from Delta State University and her Master’s Degree from MS Valley State University.  She has an overall record of 291-69 win/loss as the BHS VB Head Coach.  Under Walker’s leadership, BHS Volleyball won Back to Back State Championships in the 2017, 2018, 2021, 2022 seasons winning 4 6A State Championships in her volleyball coaching career.   In 2018, 2020, and 2021, 2022, 2023 the Lady Bulldogs won the South State Championship along with 7  consecutive Region Championships.  Coach Walker was selected as the 2017-2018 Clarion Ledger Volleyball Coach of the Year and Finalist for the Mississippi Coach of the Year.  She was the 2018-2019 and the 2022-2023 National Federation of High Schools Mississippi Volleyball Coach of the Year as well as the Mississippi Association of Coaches Coach of the Year in 2021-2022.  In 2022, she was named the Mississippi Coaches 6A Volleyball Coach of the Year.  Coach Walker was selected as the MAC South All-Star Coach in 2018 and 2022.  She serves on the MAC Volleyball Committee, Little 6 Conference Committee, the Sports Medicine Advisory Committee, BHS Leadership Committee, and the BHS Counselor Advisory Committee.  She is married to Stephen Walker and has four children Keeley Card (Hunter), Wesley, Dysart and Graydon along with a grandson, Walker.
